CLUES is a multimedia project presented in separate installments. Each one proposes real or re-imagined connections using Sednaoui and his mother’s visual archives as source material. The project explores feelings, and alienation as experienced within one’s closest environment of family, friends, and lovers.

In the series, I Take My Breath Again (Clues I) Sednaoui disrupts the lineage of shared recorded history and memory stored within his own and family photography. Captured images are given new existences, by removing original linear timelines, markers, and clues. Each image’s former or new meaning is added as hand-engraved text within a black section on the print.
